Over 11,000 school children visit Sulgrave
Manor each year, choosing from a wide range of options,
covering the Tudor and Stuart periods and complementing
National Curriculum courses for Key Stages 1 and 2.
Sulgrave Manor is an ideal venue for your school visit,
being a secure enclosed site where the children will work
with our skilled team of presenters in period dress, and
are easily supervised during lunch break and shopping
time.
The children benefit from experiencing Tudor activities
in a Tudor environment. We can offer schoolroom, womens'
work, musical instruments, songs and dances of the period.
Weather and ground conditions permitting, we can also
offer dancing outside and a visit to the Blacksmith's
forge.
Choose from the following options:
Charges
Up to 60 children may be brought on one day. Cost: £5.50
per child.
Hire of Costumes where appropriate £2.50 per child.
Booking Terms
Prior to completing the booking
form, it is essential that you telephone the Manor
to check the availability of the date(s) you require.
An agreed date will be penciled in for you, pending the
return of the booking
form duly completed.
No deposit is necessary but full payment is required on
the day.
If you can arrange to bring a blank cheque, you will only
pay for the actual number of children arriving on the
day.
Cheques should be made payable to Sulgrave Manor Board.
Total cancellations made after 28 days prior to any visit
will be charged at 50% of the original booked total.
All options include one free adult per 10 children. All
additional adults are charged at the child rate.
The Manor is open and available to school groups almost
every day in school term times.
On receipt of your completed Booking Form it will be countersigned
and returned with any materials you have requested.

Packed with lots of fun Tudor History activities
and a game for 2-4 players. It's fully photocopiable
too.
The pack can be used prior to or after a visit
to the Manor to support learning.
